Understanding the Cost of Treatment
The decision to invest in mental health treatment may be one of the most important decisions you will ever make. I strive to provide you with transparent pricing, so that you can make the decision that is best for you and your health.
This practice does not participate in any insurance plans, contract with any insurance companies, nor bill insurance companies. The practice is private pay with payment in full due at the time the service is rendered. All major credit cards and HSA/FSA cards are accepted.
In a private setting, I can offer you individualized and flexible evidence-based care based on our collaborative treatment plan, rather than decisions made by insurance companies.
Some individuals have "out-of-network" benefits available through their health insurance plans. Your insurance company can advise you about out-of-network benefits unique to your specific policy. At your request, I can provide a "super-bill" inclusive of diagnostic and service codes. Using this "super-bill," you can submit claims directly to your health insurance company for possible reimbursement.
FEES
Initial appointment (diagnostic evaluation) $375
Follow-up medication management appointment $135
Appointments cancelled without advanced notice of 24 hours and no shows are billed at the full rate.
ADDITIONAL COSTS
There may be additional costs for items and services provided to you by other healthcare providers or facilities. The cost of these additional items and services will vary depending on your individual circumstances, and may include, but are not limited to:
YOUR RIGHT TO A GOOD FAITH ESTIMATE
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care is expected to cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychiatric services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychiatric services.
You can ask your health care provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an appointment.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
